New Writing Instructor at the Writers Studio Tucson

I’m now a writing instructor at the Writers Studio in Tucson, Arizona and I’ll be teaching an 8-week introductory workshop in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction beginning Saturday, April 20th!

I started attending the Writers Studio Tucson in April 2016 in Lela Scott MacNeil’s workshops, then moved on to Phil Ivory’s Intermediate workshops and Janelle Drumwright’s Advanced workshop. I now regularly attend Director Reneé Bibby’s Master workshops. Recently I’ve been sitting in on workshops taught by Donna Aversa and Lela to observer these masters at work. Everyone has been so inviting and helpful. The Writers Studio Tucson is a team of talented published writers who also happen to be fantastic teachers. I’m excited to return some of the love and encouragement I’ve received along the way to new students.

The full list of Tucson courses, including Lela’s Thursday night introductory workshop, can be found on the Writers Studio website, where there are also courses available in New York City (where the Writers Studio was founded by poet Philip Schultz in 1987) and chapters in Hudson Valley and San Francisco. You can also take online courses from anywhere!
