On a Successful 2020 Tucson Poetry Festival

""

Thank you and congratulations to Melanie Madden, Laura Talarsky Stevens, Avery Lane, and Karolina Tumilowicz for organizing a successful 2020 Tucson Poetry Festival! By moving the festival online, we were able to keep this Tucson tradition going in spite of the pandemic.

Thank you to our featured poets Sean AverySylvia ChanDiana Marie DelgadoBojan Louis, and Pamela Uschuk for teaching workshops and sharing your poetry in support and demonstration of this year’s theme “Poetry to Sustain Us.” Please support these masters of craft and dedicated explorers of heart, body, mind, identity, experience, and environment by purchasing their good works.

Thank you to everyone who attended the workshops, shared their poetry, and/or watched the Featured Poets Reading and Open Mic. We would be grateful for any donations to support the ongoing mission of the Tucson Poetry Festival “to celebrate and expand the audience for contemporary poetry through a variety of literary arts events, including poetry readings, performances, contests, discussions, and more.

If you were not able to attend or would like to rewatch the Featured Poets Reading or Open Mic, these events were recorded and are now available on the festival’s Facebook Page. I have included links to the videos below.

Poetry has and will continue to sustain us.
